Employees Keen Design design new performance evaluation process

If a company needs to implement a change, it is important employees cooperate with the design of the change so they support it fully. Hence Keen Design improved the performance evaluation process with her employees.

Grow, evaluate and reward

Three years ago Keen Design introduced a new performance evaluation cycle and started working with it. At the time it was agreed everyone would learn and improve. This resulted in this project, in which all employees could participate.

The Keen Design designers work mostly at customer premises in the health-, finance- and public industry. This makes participation challenging and it is hard to keep track of the progress of the improvement project.

Solution

Use Parta

By using Parta all employees could participate and decide. They have entered suggestions to improve the current performance evaluation process. This input was grouped at the office into categories by colleagues who registered for the activity. Afterwards, everyone was asked to prioritize the resulting categories. Next two sessions were organized at the Keen Design premises: an explorative session and a session in which the proposal was drafted. This explorative session could be viewed in a livestream by all employees, or they could watch it later. A report was written for the session in which the proposal was drafted. Last but not least everyone could vote for the proposal.

To make the conversation about performance more accessible Keen has decided to design two separate processes: one focused on development and one focused on salary and rewards.
